What is Laptop Launchpad?

Our goal is to have 1 million laptops pledged, 100,000 laptops redistributed and $10m raised to cover refurbishment costs, by 2025 - and you can help!

Computers are powerful tools. Most of us can’t imagine life without them but this is the reality for too many. The 2021 Australian Digital Inclusion Index (ADII) found that 1 in 4 Australians are digitally excluded meaning that over 6 million Australians are at risk of being left behind in an increasingly digital society.

The #LaptopLaunchpad changes that. Good360 have partnered with Finder to turn used laptops into tools of transformation.

Together we are working to reclaim, refurbish and rehome 3-5 year old laptops and give them to the people that need them most.

There is a cost associated with testing, resetting and refurbishing the devices that are being transformed through the Laptop Launchpad. However, we have managed to reduce this cost dramatically to $100 per laptop, and we are asking for your support to ensure we can provide these devices at NO COST to Australians in need.

Who is behind Laptop Launchpad?

The Laptop Launchpad campaign was launched as a partnership between global fintech Finder and surplus goods redistribution charity Good360. The idea was born when Good360 founder Alison Covington AM met Finder co-founder Fred Schebesta. Alison had the experience of connecting goods to the people who needed them. Fred had the experience of launching ideas on the internet. They found a shared passion for tackling the digital divide and so the campaign was born.

Our goal is to have 1 million laptops pledged, 100,000 laptops redistributed and $10m raised to cover refurbishment costs, by 2025.
